Farewell!

asltk-logo-large-print-no-text-final-april-201332.jpgOn the 23rd July, at the Nairobi SLT Meeting and Continuing Professional Development Event, ASLTK members sadly bid farewell to two of our long standing and hugely respected members, Emma Shah and Elisabeth Kruger.

The members honed their creative skills and presented Emma and Elisabeth with small gifts to thank them for their support, mentorship and camaraderie over the years.

Nancy, who has been working with Elisabeth for many years, presented Elisabeth with her ASLTK Memory Chart:

Emma, wrote us a poem about her experiences working as a SLT in Kenya. We identified with many of these experiences and also acknowledged all that she and Elisabeth have done in establishing and representing the profession in Kenya.

ASLTK and the speech and language therapy profession in Kenya would not be where it is today without these two dynamic, knowledgeable and supportive professionals. They will be sorely missed by all who worked with them (both professionals and clients). We know that they will stay in touch with us and will continue to provide us with support and advice from abroad. Good luck!
